Thoko Mkavea is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of CDH Investment Bank. He was instrumental in the establishment of the bank in 2012

Thoko has over 20 years’ experience covering investment banking, finance, fund management, project finance and general management. He joined the Continental Asset Management Limited as Head of Asset Management in 2007. Previously, Thoko was Deputy General Manager and Head of Finance and Administration for The Leasing and Finance Company of Malawi Limited (LFC), a subsidiary of First Capital Bank. He also served as a senior manager in finance with Henred Freuhauf Limited. He started his career as management trainee with the Press Corporation Plc

Thoko is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He also holds an MBA from the University of Derby (UK) and a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from the University of Malawi
