James Ng’ombe,
BA MA DPhil

James Ng’ombe is a well respected academic in Malawi. Born in 1949, Dr Ng’ombe is a holder of Doctor of Philosophy (1981), MA (1981) and BA (1972) degrees. 

He has made a lot of contributions to the development of education in Malawi, including the establishment of Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ) where he was Executive Director from 1997 to 2007.  He has authored several books for primary education and has several published works.  He has held various positions on the boards of state-owned enterprises apart from owning a business himself as a book distributor.

He has also served as President of Book Publishers Association of Malawi.

Dr Ng'ombe is a non-executive director of CDH, CDH Asset Management and CDH Forex where he brings a lot of experience from the literary field and entrepreneurship.
