CDH Investment Bank is pleased to announce a landmark K44 million sponsorship for the 2024/2025 basketball club national championship, which took place from 6–7 June 2025 at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) Sports Complex. 

The BASMAL basketball club national championship is Malawi’s premier basketball event, featuring top teams from the Southern (SOZOBAL), Central (CEZOBAL), and Northern (NOZOBAL) regional leagues. The 2025 edition promises thrilling competition and heightened fan engagement. 

CDH Investment Bank has partnered with the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) to support the 2024/2025 Vice Chancellor's excellence awards. The bank donated K10.9m for the 2024 awards which support innovative agri-solutions. 

The awards recognize outstanding academic achievements among students.

CDH Investment Bank has donated K1 million to the Institute of People Management Malawi towards the hosting of the 2024 IPMM Lakeshore Conference which will be held from 24th – 26th October 2024 at the Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi. The conference will be held under the theme “Navigating the new world of work: empowering people, embracing change, and fostering resilience in a rapidly evolving and turbulent economic environment.”

CDH Investment Bank donated K1 million to the Malawi Environmental Health Association (MEHA) towards the hosting of the 2024 Malawi Environmental Health Association. The conference was held from 4th to 5th September 2024 at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi under the theme “Protecting everyone’s health in the new era”.

CDH Investment Bank donated K16.9millon to the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) to support the agri-innovation challenge. The agri-innovation challenge is an annual Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Awards which recognizes outstanding achievements of individuals and departments within the university community who have excelled in various categories and seeks to support the development of agri-innovations by rewarding and supporting innovators.

CDH Investment Bank has donated K1 million to the Bankers Association of Malawi towards the hosting of the 2024 Bankers Association of Malawi Lakeshore Conference which took place from 22nd to 24th August 2024 at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi. The conference was held under the theme “Bridging the gap: Inclusive banking and sustainable development for all”

CDH Investment Bank donated K1.68m to the Bankers Association of in support of the Malawi Agri-Finance Conference which took place from 11th – 12th July 2024 at Bingu International Conference Centre in Lilongwe. CDH Investment Bank recognizes the critical role of Malawi's agricultural sector in the nation's economy, livelihoods, and food security.To address the challenges faced by the sector, Bankers Association of Malawi, in partnership with the Farmers Union of Malawi, organised the conference held called the theme "Fostering Collective Impact: Collaborative Efforts to Propel Agricultural Sustainability Forward."

Our team team took time out to impact financial literacy and the importance of investing to the young minds at Thyolo Secondary School under the Bankers Association of Malawi commemoration of Global Money Week. The enthusiasm and curiosity of the students made the experience both rewarding and impactful.

CDH Investment Bank expressed its commitment to supporting non-governmental organizations. 

Mrs Mercy Sekani, Banking Centre Manager, Capital City Banking Centre said this at a training organized by David Hastings Associates in collaboration with Baker Tilly Chartered Certified Accountants and Hudson and Pertrichor Attorneys at Law. The training was coordinated to support International and National Non-Governmental Organizations operating in Malawi. The workshop is the beginning of an incubation and capacity building program to support the NGOs in the areas of leadership and governance, compliance with the NGOs Amendment Act of 2022, resource mobilization, financial management, internal and external auditing, and accounting. 

CDH Investment Bank has donated K5 million to the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) for the 2^nd research dissemination conference slated for 30^th  November to 1^st December 2023 at KUHeS Blantyre Campus in Blantyre. The theme of the conference is “tackling the #MW2063 health research priorities: through a multidisciplinary approach”.

Presenting the cheque in Blantyre, Mr Jamal Kamoto, CDH Investment Bank, Chief Business Development Officer, said CDH Investment Bank decided to support the conference as a partner, as the bank appreciates the role KUHeS plays in pioneering health research that helps support education and health sectors and provide national growth.
